Grooming

​

  • All clients are required to complete and sign the declaration form, all information is confidential and will not be shared with any third party. Please inform us of any changes in your pet's health, temperament or any updates to your personal details.

  • We encourage that you make sure that your dog is fit and healthy and up to date with all vaccinations before bringing them in to be groomed.

​

  • Bark&Bath will not be held liable or responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness, minor nicks or hairloss due to any pre-existing skin conditions or as a result of grooming matted/tangled fur.

​

  • Matting is very uncomfortable and can cause your dog pain and discomfort. When possible we try to cut any tangles out however if your dogs coat is EXCESSIVELY matted we will often shave it out. We make sure to always contact you to inform you of this before carrying out the shave and we will only remove the necessary amount of fur. If we feel that de-matting your dog would cause too much stress and discomfort we may recommend a complete clip down.

  • At Bark&Bath we do not express anal glands as this is classed by the PIF (Pet Industry Federation) as a veterinary procedure. We would advise taking your dogs to a veterinary surgery for this service.

​

  • Your dog may be photographed before, during or after his/her groom, photographs may then be used on the Bark&Bath website and Social Media Pages. Please let us know if you prefer you pet not to be photographed.

​

  • An additional £5 may be added to your total price upon the discovery of fleas.

 

Booking

  • If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late please inform us ASAP as we have numerous appointments in a working day and any late appointments can have a knock on effect.​

​

  • Clients who are more than 15 minutes late (without notifying us) may be considered a missed appointment and may have to re-book. 

​

  • Please allow at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. 

​

  • ​Grooming no-shows may require future appointments being paid for in advance.

​

​

 

Aggressive Dogs

​

  • At Bark&Bath we reserve the right to refuse to groom any pet at risk of harming me or itself. If your dog behaves in an aggressive or threatening manor you will be contacted to collect your pet and the groom will then be terminated. A percentage of the groom price will still be required to be paid by you upon collection.

 

  • It is imperative that you inform us prior to grooming if your dog has ever displayed aggressive tendencies or has been known to bite. Failure to disclose this information will result in refusal of further service.

  • Muzzles will only be used if deemed necessary for groomer and dogs safety. Please note we don't routinely use muzzles.

​

  • If your pet will not tolerate the presence of other dogs please inform us beforehand so we can make sure there are no other dogs in the salon at the time of their appointment.

Payment

 

  • Payments may be made in advance of a booking or when the treatment is finished. 

​​

  • We only accept cash payments at this time.
